ABOUT US
Mark Thompson joined by his wife Annette, created Thompson Farms over a decade ago. They have five children: Kyle, Hanna, Nicholas, Michael and Megan.
Thompson Farms is a grain farm founded in 2009 near Warren, Indiana. Atypical in today’s farm economy do you see many new farmers enter the industry. Our founder, Mark Thompson took the leap towards breaking that traditional mold. We currently grow corn and soybeans on our family farm and we feel incredibly lucky that we get to do what we love. Our story began with the purchase of the bare minimum of equipment followed by the planting of our first crop, 160 acres of soybeans. The following year we expanded acres and grew corn in addition to soybeans. Since then, we have been extremely fortunate to more than triple our farm size within the past decade. We continue to grow and adapt to the changing farming landscape. Our focus remains dedicated to bringing the best agronomic practices to our farm, increasing public awareness of agriculture, and ultimately providing food for the world.
